Visiting Expo 2027 in Belgrade: what's known and what isn't
Search interest in Expo 2027 Belgrade is climbing, and a lot of what circulates online mixes firm facts with guesswork. Here's the honest split.
What's confirmed. The dates (15 May–15 August 2027), the host city and Surčin location near the airport, the Specialised Expo status, and the theme — Play for Humanity: Sport and Music for All. The concept is built around themed pavilion areas and city-wide programming in sport and music, with participating nations each hosting a National Day.
What's reported or projected. Official materials project on the order of four million visits across the three months, but estimates vary and 'visits' aren't unique visitors — treat any attendance number as a projection. A rail link connecting the airport and Expo area has been announced, but timelines for big infrastructure can slip, so we frame it as planned rather than guaranteed.
What's still unknown. Expo 2027 tickets — prices, categories, and on-sale dates — haven't been released; the daily schedule, performers, and pavilion details aren't public yet either. There's no special tourist visa for the Expo: general visitors rely on Serbia's normal visa rules.
Our approach is to keep each fact labelled and current rather than guess, and to help you turn an Expo day into a proper city break.
