What's been announced

Bosnia and Herzegovina signed its contract to take part in Expo 2027 Belgrade on 2–3 July 2026, at a ceremony held at the EXPO 2027 Playground. The signing brought together Serbia's Commissioner General Jagoda Lazarević, EXPO 2027 director Danilo Jerinić, and Staša Košarac, BiH's Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations, who serves as the country's Commissioner General for Expo 2027.

Lazarević described the exhibition as a regional rather than purely Serbian project, pointing to an expected four million visitors that she said would benefit the wider region, not just Serbia. Košarac framed Expo 2027 as a development opportunity for BiH's economy, giving it a chance to connect with Serbia and with international partners among the roughly 140 expected participants. Officials said BiH's booth would be at an "attractive location" and would present the country's business, tourism and cultural potential, but the pavilion's design, size and detailed content have not been made public.

“EXPO is not only a Serbian project, but a regional project. We expect around four million visitors, and I am confident that the citizens of not only Serbia, but the whole region, will benefit from this event.” — Jagoda Lazarević, Serbia's Commissioner General for Expo 2027, at the BiH contract signing [source]

Where to find the Bosnia and Herzegovina pavilion

National pavilions sit in the International Participant Area of the 25-hectare Expo site at Surčin, in the western part of Belgrade — the zone that becomes the city's new Belgrade Fair after the event. The site is about 5 km from Nikola Tesla Airport and roughly 13.5 km southwest of central Belgrade (official planning figures), so if you fly in, you land closer to the Expo grounds than to town. Exact positions within the zones haven't been published yet; we'll add the location when the site plan lands.
