BG Voz is the brand for Belgrade's suburban passenger rail service, running commuter trains along several lines that connect the city centre with outlying municipalities and towns in the wider Belgrade area. Along with the city's buses, trams and trolleybuses, BG Voz has been free to ride for every passenger since 1 January 2025, when Belgrade switched its entire regular public transport network to a fare-free model — no ticket, card or validation needed.
A separate, newer piece of the BG Voz story is under construction rather than running: a dedicated electrified rail branch connecting Belgrade Airport, and the National Stadium and Expo site at Surčin, into the wider suburban network, splitting off the main Belgrade–Novi Sad corridor. New trains for the line have been ordered, and an operational launch has been reported for spring 2027 to coincide with Expo 2027, though as of this writing that date, and the eventual fare or ticketing arrangement for the airport branch specifically, remain provisional rather than confirmed.
For now, visitors are most likely to encounter existing BG Voz services connecting Beograd Centar (Prokop) station with other parts of the city and its suburbs, rather than a working rail link to the airport itself.
